First off, thank you so much for being patient while I have filled your inbox each month. I will try and keep this last email short.
The weekend of January 14th is less than two weeks out. The hustle and bustle of the holidays are past, but you can still join us for the fun in Port Washington.
Friday we will meet in the Country Inn lobby for some ride instructions about 2:30. Then ride from the hotel at 3:00 PM to Harbor Hills Recreational Center. Once there, we will have snacks, drinks and an opportunity to socialize. There is a $10 fee for the food which you can pay when you get there. Very Important – if you plan to ride Friday and have not told me that yet, please let me know so we can get a count of people for the food.
After heading back to the hotel, the Critics Corner Pub will be open for additional entertainment.
If you plan to drive your sled from the hotel to the park on Saturday, meet in the lobby at 8am for ride instructions.
The Snowrunners Snowmobile Club is working hard to have a great stage set in Upper Lake Park on Saturday from 9 till 3. Port Yamaha and SnowDog are putting together display areas (now is your chance to try that new SnowDog Snowmobile!). During the morning, the VIP Showcase Hus Skis, Diablos and Sprints will be on display along with other cool things to see and do. A group picture at 1 in the park and a short trail ride are planned for the afternoon. There will be food, refreshments, restrooms and a warming area if needed.
The plans for the Saturday Evening Banquet are set and there is still time to join us! The meal catered in by Saz’s is going to be awesome, presenters are working hard to put together an interesting evening and we have a bunch of great prizes to give away. Note - if you have some Hus Ski and/or Diablo memorabilia to show, we will have tables set up to do so. Please bring whatever you can. Price is $35/person and we guarantee it will be worth every penny. RSVP Deadline is Friday, January 6th.
Very Cool - The Showcase Diablo 500 (above) and the one-of-a-kind Diablo Prototype will be set up in the banquet hall. These both may very well be the only fully complete prototype and fully restored original Diablo 500 with the rare windshield around, so this is your chance to see them first hand.
50th Anniversary Caps, Tee shirts and sweatshirts will also be available at the banquet.

For those in the hotel, we have reserved the banquet hall for Sunday morning so that you can grab your excellent continental breakfast from the Country Inn & Suites breakfast area and then join us in the banquet hall for some additional collaboration and fun.
A few rooms are left at the Country Inn and Suites in Port Washington. Should they sell out, the other hotel in town is the Holiday Inn Harborview. Ask for the Bolens Diablo block no matter which hotel you call.
