It has been almost 10 years since we celebrated the Diablo Rouge 50th in Port Washington, Wisconsin. If you made it to that event, you surely were not disappointed. We are now planning to have another great get together in 2027.

Diablo Rouge 60th & Hus Ski 65th Anniversary Celebration – Weekend of February 26-28th in West Leyden, New York.

And if you know West Leyden, you know it is located on the Tug Hill Plateau in northern New York just west of the Adirondack Mountains. That means snow, trails, riding and winter fun! Our friends John Mierek and Ed Stabb are from the area and are busy making all kinds of inquiries to put on a “Once In A Lifetime” event for a Hus Ski or Diablo Rouge Enthusiast.

The main event will take place at the Tug Hill Hideaway which is a popular venue for many events throughout the year. The area around the Hideway has trails that we can ride without registration. We are considering a banquet event for Saturday Evening. If people are interested, we can make plans for Friday and Sunday as well. We will book blocks of hotel rooms for the event, and the event is sure to grow as we get the word out.

To help us plan, we need your feedback. If this is something you plan to attend, please let me know. We are not looking for a commitment here, but this event has all the ingredients of being our biggest gathering ever and we need to get an early handle on how many people might show up to plan for hotels, banquet facilities and such. If there is something you would like to see or do, let me know that too. We are all ears at this stage of development.

Between now and next fall, we will finalize our plans based on feedback and expected attendance.
