Mother Nature loves Hus Skis and Diablos so much that she has ensured snow for the weekend of
January 14th in Port Washington, Wisconsin! With two winter dumps of snow under our belt and the turn in temperature, the trails are already open and the Snow Runners Snowmobile Club is preparing our trails.
Keep an eye out for publications sharing our event details. American Snowmobiler, Wisconsin Snowmobile News, Top of the Lake Snowmobile Museum, ASCOA, ACSCC, and others are spreading the word! Overall, the response to this event has been fantastic. We have people coming from Alaska to Newfoundland and all across the US. I have a lot of little details to share, so please bear with me.
Our Friday afternoon / evening plans have taken shape. We will ride from the Country Inn about 3:00 PM to Harbor Hills Recreational Center. Once there, we will have snacks, drinks and an opportunity to socialize. There will be a small fee if you plan to join us to cover the food. Very Important – if you plan to ride Friday, please let me know so we can get a count of people for the food.
After heading back to the hotel, the Critics Corner Pub will be open for additional entertainment.
The Snowrunners Snowmobile Club is working hard to have a great stage set in Upper Lake Park on Saturday from 9 till 3. Port Yamaha and SnowDog are putting together display areas (now is your chance to try that new SnowDog Snowmobile!). During the morning, the VIP Showcase Hus Skis, Diablos and Sprints will be on display along with other cool things to see and do. A group picture and short trail ride are planned for the afternoon. Very Important - If you are a local enthusiast planning to come to the Saturday event in the park but not attend the banquet, please shoot me an email and let me know so we can help the Snowrunners Snowmobile Club plan for food.

The plans for the Saturday Evening Banquet are coming along nicely. The meal catered in by Saz’s is going to be awesome, presenters are working hard to put together an interesting evening and we have a bunch of great prizes to give away. Note - if you have some Hus Ski and/or Diablo memorabilia to show, we will have tables set up to do so. Please bring whatever you can. Price is $35/person and we guarantee it will be worth every penny.
Very Cool - A Diablo owner from the area will be bringing a one-of-a-kind Diablo Prototype to be set up in the banquet hall. This is a fully assembled Diablo that was experimented with as the next model of Diablo after the 1968-1969 models. This may very well be the only fully complete prototype around, so this is your chance to see it first hand and know what could have been should Bolens continued the Diablo line of snowmobiles.
We can take banquet reservations up till January 7th, so it’s not too late to join us for the fun!

For those in the hotel, we have reserved the banquet hall for Sunday morning so that you can grab your excellent continental breakfast from the Country Inn & Suites breakfast area and then join us in the banquet hall for some additional collaboration and fun.
A few rooms are left at the Country Inn and Suites in Port Washington. Should they sell out, the other hotel in town is the Holiday Inn Harborview. Ask for the Bolens Diablo block no matter which hotel you call.

Also, there is still time to get hats, caps, key fobs, banners and other cool things for Christmas Presents, but you have to let me know very soon. We still have 50th Anniversary Caps too!
