Hus Ski / Diablo Workshop – Sobieski, Wisconsin 8/14/10

In August, we gathered for a Workshop Event.

We had owners come from Manitoba, Quebec and Ontario to represent the northern territories well. From the US, owners joined us from Wisconsin, Michigan and Illinois. We spent the day rotating around work stations and discussing repair and restoration techniques. In the shop was a wealth of knowledge and everyone had a good time sharing.

We talked about Diablo Gearboxes and Hirth Motors.

Diablo Bogie Wheels and Carburetors. Frank talked about building Hus Ski tracks and had a computer full of pictures to share.

We had some beautiful sleds to show off too. Above is Frank P’s 444.

Some even came and camped overnight. It was a sunny warm day and a great night to sit around the campfire and enjoy company.

We had plenty of room for all. Even Mike’s big trailer that was full of toys and posters.

Special thanks to Tom Winters who helped us get ready and provided the Venison Italian Sausage, Venison Kielbasa and Hamburgers. Many of you brought something to pass to and we all had a great lunch.

Don’t ask me. You will have to ask Petey what the heck that Hus Ski look alike is.

Rod L from Luxemberg, WI also brought along some of his restorations. A 200A and 600.

One of the many posters hanging around Mike’s trailer.

Again, I want to thank everyone for coming and spending a day sharing and learning.
